You can join the grand opening of Shanghai Disney Resort from the comfort of your living room

Shanghai Disney Resort’s grand opening is sure to be an amazing event featuring stars and officials and, of course, Mickey Mouse himself.

While many of us haven’t been able to secure a ticket or a plane ride to Shanghai, Disney has made it entirely possible for all of us to attend the event. Thanks to some Disney magic, the whole opening ceremony will be shown on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior and Freeform, without breaks or commercials!

You’ll be able to see Chinese and Disney culture blend together in this musical spectacular. The special will feature many talented artists, such as renowned pianist Lang Lang playing a special arrangement of “Let it Go” and composer and conductor Tan Dun (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) leading the Shanghai Symphony to present the brand new song “Ignite the Dreamer Within.”

The combination of Disney and Chinese culture continues to combine through the hosting of Chinese star Sun Li and narration by Disney star Sofia Carson.

Join these special stars, as well as 3,000 other guests, officials, and celebrities, on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD and these channels’ apps on June 16 (8:00 PM – 8:30 PM) and on Freeform on June 17 (10:00 PM – 10:30 PM) to see the wonder of Shanghai Disney Resort from the comfort of your own home.
