In no particular order, here are our top picks that made it in our 2015 holiday gift guide!

Action Figures & Hero Play

What always seems to be a crowd favorite each year are toys inspired by the Marvel films and of course, Star Wars.

With the latest figurines and athletic equipment featuring some of your favorite super heroes like Iron Man, The Hulk, Spiderman, and Captain America, kids can have fun pretend-battling with their friends and staying active while playing sports outdoors.

If you’d like to take it one step further, the Marvel Collector Corps may be for you! It is the “Ultimate Marvel Collectibles Subscription” that contains $50 worth of exclusive, high-quality Marvel & Funko collectible products in a box that gets shipped to you every other month for only $25.

Although not quite a light saber, the Force is strong with these Star Wars flashlights ($5.99) in which R2–D2, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and Yoda will surely light the way through those dark nights.

Baby & Toddler Toys

DCP Holiday Gift Baby Disney

Treat your little ones to a line of Disney baby products like apparel, décor, and toys featuring the lovable Winnie the Pooh and Mickey and friends. Enjoy linking, stacking, and sorting pieces with the Mickey Mouse & Friends All Aboard Wooden Train ($12.99), Wooden Stacking Train ($9.99), and Winnie the Pooh Wooden Shape Sorting Cube ($9.99) from Melissa & Doug.

Toddlers can also now become explorers of the galaxy with the Miles from Tomorrowland Stellosphere ($49.99) where the ship has the ability to split into three smaller ships that can light up and produce sounds and phrases when any of the ships are attached to the XVR system. Aside from being galaxy explorers, they can explore Radiator Springs with a variety of authentic Disney Pixar Cars vehicles.

Building Sets & Blocks

Like Queen Elsa, you can build an ice castle, too! The LEGO Disney Princess Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle ($42.99) features not only an ice cream bar and secret moving staircase, but the Frozen sisters can build a snowman, have a picnic, go on a sleigh ride, ski, or even ice skate. The options are endless!

Dolls & Stuffed Animals

Anna, Elsa, and Tsum Tsums oh my! It’s clear that the Frozen and the popular Japanese plushes are here to stay.

Dolls and figures are nice, but what’s even nicer are ones that can interact with you! With the Disney Frozen Sing Along Elsa Doll ($39.99), you can create a duet with Elsa and take turns singing “Let it Go.” Go back and forth as you sing your favorite lines from the hit song. Once you pass along the microphone to Elsa, you will hear her pick up right where you left off! Elsa is also bilingual; she can speak and sing in English and Spanish.

Another must-have is the 9″ Interactive Sven from the Disney Animators’ Collection ($34.95). With the press of a button on his shoulder, Sven can respond to commands such as ”Sven, come over here!,” ”Would you like some carrots?”, ”Sven, sit,” ”Sven, lay down,” and ”Do you want to play?” It’s like having a pet reindeer without the clean-up!

Just when you thought that Tsum Tsums couldn’t get any cuter, they do! They are bigger AND smaller than ever! Stack the mini ($4.95), medium ($12.95), large ($24.95), and mega ($99.95) sized Tsum Tsum plushes however you like or simply use them as a decorative pillow. Also making a debut this season are a new style of Target exclusive Tsum Tsums, which are plastic that come in various sizes, characters, and forms: stackers and lip smackers.

In the mood to add some Inside Out talking plushes into your life? Collect all of Riley’s emotions: Sadness, Disgust, Fear, Joy, and Anger ($19.99 each) as well as her imaginary friend, Bing Bong as a plush ($19.95) or one that literally cries out candy ($39.99)! If you feel like wearing the emotions, then the Disney Pixar Inside Out Inside Out Exclusive Crew Socks ($35.00) are perfect to keep your toes warm this season.

You can also meet a new generation of Disney heroes and villains: The Descendants. Evie and Mal are the beautiful daughters of the Evil Queen and Maleficent, respectively, and now have their own ‘Signature Isle of the Lost Doll’ ($21.99) that come with an enchanting outfit, accessories, shoes, and a locket for girls with a surprise sticker inside! If you’d like to learn more about what happened to the teenage heirs of the Disney villains before the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants: The Isle of the Lost, be sure to check out Descendants: The Isle of the Lost book ($17.95).

What could be better than having the classic Disney characters all together in one beautiful box? The Disney Animators’ Collection Mini Doll Gift Set ($119.95) comes with 15 5-inch dolls reimagined as toddlers designed by authentic Disney animators and artists. Kristoff must be one lucky toddler to be surrounded by all of these beautiful princesses!

Pretend Play & Dress-Up

Let’s play pretend by helping your stuffed animals with Doc McStuffins Vets N Pets Care Center ($79.99)! Included are medical instruments like an electronic stethoscope and EKG to monitor Findo’s heart, an otoscope to check for ear problems, and a thermometer to check for fevers. Run a quick bath for Findo using a pretend sprayer if needed, put him on the pet basket scale to find out his weight, and use a bandage if he has any boo boos. At this rate, you’ll be the greatest vet in no time!

Have a magical time exploring Frozen Elsa’s Ice Palace Playset ($129.99) by turning the crank and watching the castle expands upwards. Special effects like a magical light appears when pressing on the snowflake along with many other snowy surprises. Accessories are included to dazzle your ice palace experience.

What’s pretend-play without any costumes? At the Disney Store, you can find all sorts of intricately detailed outfits for your little ones like Anna’s Deluxe Coronation Costume ($99.95) and Elsa’s Light-Up Costume ($199.95).

Treat your child to the comfiest footwear this holiday with Darth Reindeer Star Wars slipper moccasins ($26.00). I bet Darth Vader himself would secretly sport these around.

And that sums up our top picks for 2015! We hope that you have a warm and happy holiday this season. Special thanks to our staff photographer, Rachel Cardenas for capturing these images.
