Take A Closer Look At What Will Be Outside Shanghai Disneyland
Disney’s 6th destination resort is currently under construction in mainland China and it happens to be one of the boldest and grandest projects that Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has taken on in the last decade. Today, more details were release on what Shanghai Disney Resort will offer besides its own Disneyland park.
On the outskirts of the theme park, guests will have the opportunity to stay in either two new hotels that is promising to continue the immersion of the Disney stories and service once you leave the theme park. Shanghai Disneyland Hotel will be the signature hotel on property featuring 420 rooms styled in the Art-Nouveau style. For a more fun experience, the nearby 800-room Toy Story Hotel will be themed with the toys from the classic Pixar franchise.
In addition to the hotels, Disneytown will also be the resort’s own Downtown Disney with lots of shops, dining establishments, and live entertainment. It will be themed as a “timeless village and the excitement of an international crossroads.” Inside Disneytown, there will be themed areas that will tell its own Chinese-inspired story.
This will all be flanked by a huge man-made lake similar to Lake Buena Vista at Walt Disney World in Florida. In keeping with Chinese culture, the lake will serve as place to commune with nature with peaceful greenery and glistening water. The edges of the lake will also have winding paths and beautiful gardens that’ll allow guests to enjoy the beauty of the resort and what will be it’s equally beautiful sunsets.
Combined with the already released details of the theme park, it’s very clear that Disney wants this resort to be unlike any of their other resorts worldwide. Regardless of why this is the case, these new details on Shanghai Disney Resort have certainly grown our enthusiasm and excitement of the Resort’s opening sometime late next year!
