Yesterday, Amazon Italy leaked the newest LEGO Star Wars franchise game, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens on their website. It wasn’t confirmed that the game was coming out or even being created, but today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that the game would be coming out on June 28, 2016 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Windows PC.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will have gameplay mechanics that will enhance the player’s experience. It will feature content that explores what happened in the time period between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Everything from building, battling, and flying through the galaxy will give players a new take on LEGO games. Gamers can expect to see the cast from the movie, making their appearances as well as new and exciting locations such as Jakku and Starkiller Base.

According to Tom Stone, Managing Director of TT games,

We’re extremely proud of the LEGO Star Wars video games, truly an incredible franchise that has sold more than 33 million copies and helped ignite a passion for numerous fun-filled LEGO games enjoyed by countless fans around the world. LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be bigger and better in every way, pushing the series forward with innovative new gameplay mechanics, while also exploring new parts of the universe that is sure to excite and delight both Star Wars fans and newcomers.

One of the newest innovative mechanics is the “multi-build” system, which gives players different options on progressing through the game. Players will go through different blaster battles, dog fights in space, as well as high speed flights against the First Order. They’ll be able to use all sorts of vehicles from X-wings to the Millenium Falcon.

Be sure to check out the trailer below and get ready to go back to Jakku on June 28, 2016!
