Hold up, Netflix subscribers. You won’t be able to download any Disney films or TV shows for offline watching

Netflix Disney No Downloading Offline Viewing

It was the announcement that everyone was waiting for, but today, Netflix made it possible for subscribers to download their favorite movies and TV shows for viewing without an internet connection.

Offline viewing has been a wanted feature for a while now, but what Netflix failed to mention loudly was that there will be select programs that wouldn’t be available for download. That includes all of Disney’s properties.

That means recently released titles like “Zootopia” and classics like “Fantasia”. Additionally, Marvel’s television series like “Luke Cage” and “Daredevil” won’t be available for download either.

The online publication Recode got no comment from Disney or Netflix regarding why the titles aren’t available for offline viewing, but said that it’s maybe possible that Disney is saving the feature for their own rumored download/streaming service.
