Most Wanted Blu-Ray [Muppets Most Wanted Blu-Ray Review + Giveaway]

“Two Frogs! One Pig! Intrigue! Music! Mayhem! Muppets!” reads the back cover of the new Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” Blu-Ray and DVD, and that is exactly what it delivers.

With three different versions of the film as well as a handful of bonus features, this Muppet-filled Blu-Ray provides hours of laughs. The disc offers the original theatrical version of the movie as well as the “Unnecessarily Extended” edition of the film, which features extra moments with your favorite Muppets that were not seen in theaters. The Muppets bring their cute, quirky and comedic talents to the screen for a handful of extra scenes that only bumps up the entertainment value in this exclusive cut.

Everyone’s favorite cynical puppet peanut gallery makes a very special appearance in their own version of the film to round out the selection. The Statler & Waldorf cut, although only a few minutes long, is done in true Muppet fashion. The hilarious critics exchange their usual anti-Muppet quips in a fast-forwarded version of the film, which highlights only the moments in which Statler & Waldorf themselves make an appearance. This short but (bitter)sweet cut is sure to bring on a chuckle or two.

The bonus features, although few, are quality extras. With a cast as star-studded and brimming with comedic talent as that of Muppets Most Wanted, it comes as no surprise that the “Longer Longest Blooper Reel In Muppets History” would be so hilarious! With all of the Muppets and human actors alike making their best efforts to not crack a smile, this blooper reel makes for an utterly enjoyable addition to complement the movie. Ricky Gervais steals the show this time with his recognizable laugh and Constantine, the World’s Number One Criminal and Most Dangerous Frog, shows a slightly less evil side in this bonus feature.

If you were wondering what happened to Rizzo the Rat in this Muppet movie, “Rizzo’s Biggest Fan” will satisfy that curiosity. The rat’s “biggest fan” (SPOILER: It may or may not actually be Rizzo, himself) leaves a very special message for the director of the film. There’s more, but we’ve already given too much away. Check out the bonus features to see what Rizzo’s “biggest fan” has to say.

Finally, award-winning songwriter for the film Bret McKenzie and Constantine share the screen in a special music video for the song “I’ll Get You What You Want” featured in the film. It’s a fun number to finish out the bonus features and a tune that might be stuck in your head for a few days.

If you can’t get enough of the Muppets and Muppets Most Wanted, you’ll love the features included on this Blu-Ray, not to mention the high quality picture that allows you to watch your favorite Muppets in the finest detail. The Blu-Ray combo packs are available in stores now, but if you want to save your “green”, then enter below for your chance to win one for free from DisneyExaminer!
