Past part of the streaming agreement established between Disney and Netflix a few years ago, we are about to get another full comic book series from the creative minds at Marvel.
“Jessica Jones” will tell the story of the famed Marvel comic character who owns and operates her own investigation company. She ultimately uses that company and her superhero powers to fight crime under different names to protect her identity.
This will be the first time the character will have a “television” series with Krysten Ritter (AMC’s Breaking Bad) playing Jones. It’ll all take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe with probable tie-ins to the ever-popular movies. Watch the full trailer for the series above.
The Jessica Jones series will mark the second Marvel series to come to Netflix, with Daredevil being the first debuting this past April. This way of distributing Marvel stories on-demand and all at once seems very popular and lucrative for Netflix with Daredevil already set to debut its second season.
Season One of Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” (consisting of 13 one-hour episodes) will all be made available beginning November 20, 2015 exclusively on Netflix.
