A Day at Galaxy’s Edge: A Photo Tour

Sunsets on Batuu are truly out of this world. The orange color scheme paints the spires and buildings so beautifully.
Editor’s note: Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge opened this summer to much ooh-ing and ahh-ing from dedicated fans and casual guests alike. From the looming spires to the realistic decorations, walking through the land is a special experience that only a Disney park can offer.
Today, courtesy of photographer and guest writer Jonathan Esquivel, we’ll take you through a day at Galaxy’s Edge. Hover over each photo to read Jonathan’s description of what it feels like to walk through the land.

- Exploring Batuu with First Order troopers and keeping an eye out for Resistance members or other shady looking characters.
- This view will definitely become one of the most photographed spots in the entire resort because of how incredibly immersive and detailed it is. Blue skies are great, but the spires really stand out even more on a gorgeous cloudy day.

- Before Galaxy’s Edge opened, something I wonder a lot was how they would explain the fact that there are fireworks almost every night. Well, apparently Oga of Oga’s cantina loves to celebrate in style, so everyone in Black Spire Outpost also gets to enjoy the show
- There is nothing more spectacular than finally walking under the bridge and seeing the iconic millennium falcon standing right there!! I’ll always remember the first day I walked up there with my friends. It was quite an emotional experience.
- Anyone else see Roz from Monsters Inc here?!
- Here’s me. There’s something about being transported to a new world that makes you want to explore every inch of it.
- You never know who you’ll bump into.
- Definitely some familiar faces and friends roaming Galaxy’s Edge.
