CONFIRMED: New Disney California Adventure Opens On June 15

Yesterday, Disney CEO Bob Iger and Chairman of Parks and Resorts Tom Staggs visited Disney California Adventure to tour the expansion in Buena Vista street and Cars Land. They took a ride on the Red Car Trolleys and went into the Carthay Circle Theater.

They were on a mission.

Then they went onto Cars Land where they were greeted with the outstanding imagineer recreation of Radiator Springs. Everything was in place exactly like in the movies.

They even test rode Luigi’s Flying Tires and Radiator Spring Racers and were extremely proud of the hardwork and effort that was put into the expansion.

…and with that, it was settled. With a thumbs up from both Staggs and Iger, Disney has officially announced the opening date of the expansion of Buena Vista Street, the Carthay Circle Theater, and Cars Land to be June 15 ,2012!
